Bart Slegers

Bart Slegers (1964) has joined the ensemble in season 12|13.

In season 23|24 he will perform in the premiere of Primeval and Other Times (director Guy Cassiers) and in the revivals of Blood Wedding, My Heavenly Favourite, Medea and The Doctor.

Slegers played before at ITA in A little life, Kings of war, Roman Tragedies, The Damned, The Doctor, Judas, Freud, The wood, The cherry orchard, The Fountainhead, Ibsen House, The things that pass, Oedipus, Flight 49, Medea, Scenes from a marriage, From the life of the marionettes, The kindley ones, Opening Night, The taming of the shrew, The Seagull, Danton's Death, Nora and Children of the sun.

Slegers studied at the Royal Flemish Music Conservatory (Stage) in Antwerp where he received lessons from, among others, Dora van de Groen, Lucas Vandervost, Warre Borgmans, Luc Perceval and Ivo van Hove. He is mainly active in the theatre, but also played many roles in television series and cinema films.

For ten years he was permanently attached to Het Zuidelijk Toneel (1990-2000), followed by time at theatre companies such as De Tijd, Het Paleis, Laika, Noord Nederlands Toneel, Theater van het Oosten and Nederlands Filharmonisch Orkest. From 2007 to 2012 he was a member of the Rotheater.
