Where can I find the link and unique code to watch the livestream?
Both the link to the Digital Theatre and your unique code are on your ticket:
- on your ticket you will find the red text "Klik hier en kijk / Click here and watch". This opens the Digital Theatre where you will watch the live stream.
- your ticket also shows your unique online code (DN with ten digits). Enter this unique code in the Digital Theatre.
Your ticket was already sent to you with the order confirmation and is in your mailbox (sender: boxoffice@ita.nl or bespreekbureau@ita.nl). You still have to download your ticket, of course.
If you have not received your order confirmation, please check your spam box before contacting boxoffice@ita.nl.
My unique code is invalid. What should I do?
Please double-check that you are entering your code (DN followed by 10 digits) correctly. If not, please email boxoffice@ita.nl.
All I can see is a standby page, is that possible?
From half an hour before the show starts, there is image and sound, but the live stream itself does not start until the show starts. This gives you enough time to check your language, sound and image settings.
When in doubt, refresh your browser's page so you are watching in real time. This can be done via F5 on the keyboard (Windows) or Command ⌘ + R (Mac). You can often also find an icon (round arrow) in the browser to refresh the page. Click the 'start video' button and then the play button to start the video. After refreshing your browser's page, you will be brought back to the stream in real time. The stream will continue from where the show is at that moment.
What should I do if I don't hear any sound?
From half an hour before the show starts, there will be sound and images, but the livestream itself will not start until the show starts. This gives you enough time to check your language, sound and image settings.
If you cannot hear any sound, try playing something from another website and make sure your speakers/headphones are working properly.
Also, make sure you haven't muted the sound on Digital Theatre.
If the problem persists, a simple reboot of your computer/tablet can often solve the problem.
What should I do if I don't get a image or the image freezes?
From half an hour before the show starts, there will be image and sound, but the livestream itself will not start until the show starts. This gives you enough time to check your language, sound and image settings.
If you have no image, it is often enough to refresh your browser's page. This can be done via F5 on the keyboard (Windows) or Command ⌘ + R (Mac). Often, the browser also has an icon (round arrow) that can be used to refresh the page. Click the 'start video' button and then the play button to start the video.
After refreshing your browser's page, you will be brought back to the stream in real time. The stream will continue from where the show currently is.
If the live stream is still not working properly, you can try the following options:
- Check your browser and whether it has been updated recently. Suitable browsers are Google Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
- Check whether your device's battery is sufficiently charged.
- Check your internet, data capabilities and video settings on your device.
If I refresh my screen for this livestream, do I have to log in again?
No. As long as you have entered your unique code and are logged in, you can refresh as many times as you like. If you get 'thrown out', just log back in with your unique online code (DN with ten digits).
Do I have to watch exactly at the start time or can I also start later?
Just like any live performance, you could miss parts of if it you join in late. Unfortunately there is no possibility to rewind the livestream.
Please note if you are watching from outside the Netherlands, you need to take into account the possible time difference. Click here for a timezone checker.
Can I watch the livestream at a different time?
The livestream will be broadcasted in real-time. The show will be performed live and you will be able to see - via a live connection - what is going on in the theatre at that moment. The livestream can only be viewed live at the time of the broadcast.
Can I pause, fast forward or rewind the livestream?
You’re part of a live experience. Everyone is watching a live broadcast which means that there is no way to pause, fast forward or rewind the livestream.
Can I watch the stream from outside the Netherlands?
Yes, assuming your country doesn’t block the content, our livestreams are available globally. Just be aware of the possible time difference. Click here for a timezone checker.
How do subtitles work?
If you change the language in the Digital Theatre in the top right corner, you can watch the livestream with English subtitles (for English language) or without subtitles (for Dutch language).
Can I record the livestream?
Audio or video recording on your own device is strictly prohibited. Knowledge of such actions, including posting a video of the stream, can hurt your chances of being able to view or access virtual events in the future.
Which browsers are suitable for viewing the livestream?
The live stream works best on an Internet browser that is up to date.
Suitable browsers for example include Google Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
Is it possible to change devices during the stream?
You can, but switching devices during the livestream is not recommended. We cannot guarantee that the stream will continue to work.
My partner and I want to watch together, should we buy two tickets?
After payment, you will receive your ticket with the link and a unique code that you can use on 1 device. So it's no problem for several people to watch the same screen on the same device.
We advise you NOT to send the link to someone else if you want to watch the show yourself. This is because the livestream can only be watched from 1 device. The first person to click on the link and enter the code will be able to watch.
If you want to watch with multiple devices at the same time, you can buy multiple tickets.
Can I forward the unique code to someone else?
We recommend NOT forwarding the link and/or the unique code to anyone else if you want to watch the show yourself. This is because the live stream can only be viewed from 1 device. Whoever clicks the link first can watch.
Can I watch the livestream on more than one device simultanously?
We recommend using 1 device.
What is the camera positioning? Is there a single camera or are there multiple cameras?
The livestream will be recorded with multiple cameras from different angles.
I forgot to watch or started watching too late. Can I get a refund?
There are no refunds on tickets. Not even in case of starting watching too late or not using the tickets.
Tickets can be exchanged for another livestream, provided you notify boxoffice@ita.nl before the start of the performance.
I have more/other questions. Who can I contact?
During the livestream, our online helpdesk is available for you via the chat in Digital Theatre. Open the chat via the icon at the bottom right.
If you have any questions about your ticket(s), your order confirmation or your unique code, please email boxoffice@ita.nl.
